The Prep Course Registration Fee of $395.00 includes the Test Right Reference Manual. Register by using the tab marked "Prep Course Registration". Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until two weeks prior to the desired course date or until the class is full, which ever comes first. Register early, most Fall 2010 classes were full.

Important California Self Insurance Administrator’s
Examination Information
The next California Self Insurance Administrator’s Examination is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2012. Registrations will be accepted beginning January 20, 2012 through April 2, 2012. Please use the following link to register online at CPS HR Consulting*. If you choose to mail in a paper exam registration form you may pay by money order, cashier's check, company check or credit card. Please make payable to CPS. No personal checks or cash will be accepted. Call 916·263·3624 or email sia@cps.ca.gov for additional information.
All exam registrations (online or via U.S. mail) must be received by the Friday, April 2, 2012 deadline. Candidates that miss the registration deadline may register for a regularly scheduled exam at least 10 business days prior to the exam date for an additional fee of $100 per candidate. Late registration is not guaranteed and is on a space available basis. Late registration is not available online.
Examinees who wish to cancel their examination registration must notify CPS HR Consulting in writing or via email at sia@cps.ca.gov by April 5, 2012. Telephone cancellations are not accepted.
The Office of Self Insurance Plans (OSIP) has contracted with CPS HR Consulting to administer the self insurance administrator's examination. Please use the following link to register online at CPS HR Consulting.
OSIP, a program within the director's office of the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), authorizes qualified employers to provide their own coverage for workers' compensation liabilities. The director of Industrial Relations is responsible for certification of public and private self insured employers, third-party administrative agencies that oversee self insurance programs, and individual claims adjusters. Individual claims adjusters can demonstrate competence and obtain certification from SIP by passing the Self Insurance Administrator's Exam.
Pursuant to Title 8, California Code of Regulations, Section 15452, "each self insured employer or administrative agency is required to conduct the administration of self insured workers’ compensation claims through the services of a competent person or persons located in California. Competence may be demonstrated by passing the California Self Insurance Administrator's Examination."
